Meet the Founder
Hasaani Hylton
Founder & CEO
Hasaani's journey started as a young dreamer with a big heart that later shined through roles like educator, practitioner, coach, leadership facilitator, and change agent whose work has always been rooted in one simple belief:
- People deserve the space to be understood.
- People deserve opportunities to grow.
- People deserve a voice.
Throughout her career, she has innovatively worked with individuals, families, communities and various entities to support the development of restorative cultures grounded in compassion, accountability, connection, and hope.
Humanity Investment Group was created to transform a lifelong calling into a shared movement - one that invites others to invest in humanity alongside us.
To understand Humanity Investment Group is to first understand the heart from which it grew.
It Started With A Heart
Long before Humanity Investment Group had a name, it had a heart. Long before programs were imagined or initiatives were launched, there was a little girl sitting in the backseat of a car with tears in her eyes as she noticed how many people around her were in need of care, compassion, and support.
She wondered why empty buildings couldn't become homes for people without one. She wondered why kindness sometimes seemed so difficult to find. She wondered why people experiencing hardship were so often met with judgment instead of understanding.
Those questions never left her heart and mind.
They quietly became the lens through which she would experience the world. Years later, during a personal time of reflection in 2018, an unexpected vision arrived. Page after page poured onto paper.
When it came time to give that vision a name, one stood apart from all the others.
Humanity Investment Group
In that moment, the compassion she had carried for years became more than a feeling.
It became a vision with a name - an invitation to action.
The Stewardship
Some people spend their lives searching for their purpose. Sometimes purpose quietly spends years preparing them. For years, Humanity Investment Group never sat idle. It grew quietly. Sometimes through a community initiative. Sometimes through serving another organization's mission. Sometimes through learning. Other times through waiting.
There were seasons when the question arose – Should HIG being doing more right now?
Looking back, it is evident that what felt like waiting was actually the quiet work of roots growing deep enough to support the vision Hasaani had been entrusted to carry. Like a tree, the greatest growth was happening beneath the surface. The season hadn't been delayed. The preparation was taking place.
When 2026 arrived, something felt different. The heart hadn't changed. The vision hadn't changed.
The season had.
It was no longer time to protect the vision. It was time to help it grow by inviting others to share in it.

For years, I wondered if I should have been doing more with Humanity Investment Group. Looking back, I now understand that I wasn't standing still - I was being prepared. Every experience, every relationship, and every opportunity to serve became part of the foundation. Today, I am deeply grateful for every season because each one helped shape the vision Humanity Investment Group has become.
